  • man that's some instant spool up on the turbo. any mods?

  • HELP ME How many bar´s does a original turbo on a Saab 9000 (2,0 CS Turbo) deliver . ORIGINAL !! Please help i wanna know ..

And if u know if it can be turned up or if it is easey to put a bigger turbo on it ..

And is it posible to give it 300 bhp with only the change of turbo (and maybe some fuel pump and such)

Please help me if u know THANKS !

  • @Mawerick77 Yeah, and DI cartriges on 9-5s are awful.I can prove that the 9-5 turbos fail before 100,000 miles.

  • @lechistani Ok. Trionic 7 engines, specially the early versions often have sticking piston rings, which causes excessive oil consumption. If the engine seems to otherwise be running good, I'd probably give a shot with Forte engine flush treatment.

  • @Mawerick77: it's 2,3 litre petrol. turbo seems to be ok. the oil disappears, and that happens mostly when the car is run in tough conditions (say around 5000rpm, or around 200km/h).

ican't see any black smoke, althou the exhaust pipe is black on the inside, so it has traces of oil

  • @lechistani Is petrol or diesel? Does it smoke, or does the oil just disappear? If it smokes, I would suspect the turbo. 9-5's usually have the Garrett GT17 and it is not that reliable, it's been known to fail even on cars with less than 100tkm on the clock. The Mitsubishi used on Aeros is much more reliable.

  • @Mawerick77: i know of the problem, but never bothered to fix it.

i got a saab 9-5 now, with a different problem. it consumes oil like nothing. do you know how to fix that problem???

    thanx

  • @lechistani Temperature gauge malfunction (drooping needle) is very common on later model 9000's and can normally be fixed by simply tightening the screws behind the gauge.
