In this University of Southern California Program, Walter Cronkite, best known for his years as a television anchor on CBS Evening News, meets with students from the School of Communication at the University of Southern California. With a career in reporting that spanned five decades, viewers hailed Cronkite as 'the most trusted man in America.' He visited the campus to present the 2005 USC Annenberg Walter Cronkite Awards for Excellence in Television Political Journalism.

  • I still remember sitting in the living room of my grandmothers house with her watching Walters last show as CBS anchor and seeing her eyes full of tears. If you're under 30 years old I feel sorry for you in that you never got to see this great man in his element. Walter Cronkite was simple one of the best newsmen of all time ... and that's just the way it is ...
