  • you are a dick mate you should never rethread the dip stick when checking your oil level do you have an owners manual ?some one could view this vid who has no clue what to do and could damage there bike some one should shoot you for this you lamo

  • look you ass hole my brother made this video for an english class. if you think you need to fallow these directions then your the dip shit who damaged your bike. i dont use these myself so why would you. if you dont like the video then dont watch it. im sure youtube has plenty other videos for you to waste your time with.

  • i dunno in the shop we always drained it did the safety inspection and then by the time we was done all the oil is drained

you dont needt o kick it over, and if you do then disconnect the coil so it wont fire up like you did in the vid thast an easy way to have premature cyl. wear

  • @beluga420 ok so this was for a english class, all the little shit like torque and bullshit was to make the video longer... i was holding the kill switch if you look closely and i lifted my hand on accident. thanks for the dick comments everyone!

  • @cwmatthews1966 tell them to put a heli coil in it, google it, its only 40 dollars to put into at my local mx shop. they work just prefect its a threaded insert that goes in to it. tell them you want it done if they dont do it youlll take it somewhere else. Ive been a mechanicx and have worked on my dirt bikes for years, Ive stripped out many things heli coils are a permenant fix. dont even have to take them otor out of the bike google it!

  • I have a 2007 crf250r that I just purchased. I took it in for it's first oil change and the dealership told me that the drain screw on the transmission plug was stripped because of over tightening. It is not leaking yet, can anyone give me a reasonable fix. The dealer wants me to drop the motor and replace the right side cover and associated parts. Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • @nichaaron Coil is hard to get to on these bikes, you can just keep your finger on the kill switch. The oil coat will keep any wear from happening on a few incidental fires anyway. You've got to run an engine for a bit to break that down and cause damage.

  • @ktmtomdux Technically, you're correct, however, the video is pretty damn good. Kudos to you hondarider182. Besides, it's not likely an engine will be damaged by an extra 1/4 inch of oil in the crank case. After all, the oil level range on the dipstick is probably an inch from highest to lowest.

  • dont kick it at all. think about it, that was like 5 times the piston went up/down with no lubricant. instead use a air compressor for excess oil. stick it in where the dip stick and cap go and itl do the work for u

  • @TheSkipskittles just backing him up he seemed to do everything by the manual other than not putting enough oil in the bike, the factory honda service manual tells you to hold the kill switch and kick it over 5 times slowly to make sure that all the oil has drained completely before reinstalling the drain plug

  • should change the oil seals on your drain bolt to other wise it will leek thanks for the vid and btw i went on this vid because it came up when i was looking at blowing up a crf and your should always push the kill switch when kicking it over if anyone needs to watch a youtube vid on how to change there oil i recommend they ask there local bike shop

  • you forget transmission oil! and you do not have to tight oil cap to check level
