I remember watching this first time. and thinking either he is really sad or ill. and bugger me if he wasnt both at the time. my heart breaks a little everytime i watch this. I felt for him so much that night.. :'( well done for not pulling out or miming like mosr people whould have! Thats our John :) x x

Bless him :') It's really sweet of him to sing after losing his voice because of "Ballgate". He said in 'I Am What I Am' (his autobiography) "I'd crashed physically and psycologically. I'd completly lost my voice and every part of my body ached" and "At the weekend I had my voice back but I still wasn't 100 per cent. I sang 'What About Us' at the Royal Variety Performance - and I sounded like shit." Yet he still sang and performed for his fans. Whatta ledged. I ♥ him!

The press highly over exaggerated this. I was very upset at the effect the whole situation had on John. But as Josh said, "He is no shrinking violet". I love JB.
