Part of the Festa della Liberazione Day festivities included the band, "G.Savoi" playing on the morning of Saturday, April 25,2009. They started playing in the Piazza, then the mayor spoke. Band led a procession throughout our small town as townsmen left memorial wreaths on important artwork throughout town. Finally, we ended up on the outskirts of town in the cemetery. Where our town priest, Don Francesco, said a prayer and blessed the tombs of the fallen during World War II. Wonderful day of remembrance. I am proud to be American and happy to be ALIVE!
always something going on in that piazza...fun!

Hi Kathleen,
so you ever was in Spain? In towns whose not strong frequented by tourists at the young night people come together, make music and dance. But not if I had imagined it with castanets and guitar music but with a kind of a little brass music and than they dancing in a kind of ring-a-ring-o' roses (hope this is the right word). Very strange but nice and interesting.
