The series in both instances was meant to be an on going battle with Radam.
A kind of neverending story.
It's also rumored that Radam was the source idea for the "shadows" race mentioned at the end of the Robotech series.
However that was never confirmed.
It's hard to say what will happen to Blade and Dead. They have been power boosted so many times that they have to be sort of sidelined to keep the story going.
The audio is a little out of sync and missing parts, however.

Ringo, CDM Jameson, Tina & Mac are no longer in TB-II. There is a miniseries between tb-1 and tb-2, where the conflict between the primary (incomplete) tekkamen and the rest of humanity. Hence the destruction of Prague.
In TB-II, Blade explains that now it's upto the next generation, and that his faith in them is justified.
Umm... too be fully honest, I missed the character connections. I watched both versions of the first series, but aside for the main - main characters, I can't tell whos who. Takaya is Blade, David is Ringo, I know the main girl with green hair is Star, the mechanics aren't hard to figure out (They look the most same of all). Is Yumi "Tina" in the International/US release, or is she new flesh 'n' blood?

Star took over Jameson's place. So to speak.
