i wish people would be able to explain why they dislike a video .. was it that the bird was standing on one leg? or maybe they did not like its call .. hmm .. makes you wonder why somebody dislikes REALITY

@tealdropper Its not calling in distress mate, thats its usual call, belive me ive seen 1000's on my marsh :)

We get thousands here in the south of england. Very specail sight and sound out on the estuaries.

We saw one of these birds today
at a Lincolnshire Airfield
We heard this sound all day not knowing what it was but then we saw it it was absolutely amazing

Alphabex8: In the summer this bird breeds in the interior western US. The range maps indicate during the fall and winter it can be found on California beaches and in Mexico. Look up "range map of the long-billed curlew" in Google Images.
