It is sad that many dont know dat Barry & this Saka Laigbade every1 is talking about were contemporaries during WERE although Laigbade was his senior in that he started singing WERE before Barry. But when Barry & Laigbade competed at Isalegangan in Lagos during WERE, Barry defeated him. (See Barrys album where he sang Isalegangan na la lo pade lojosi, kewu la fi sowon dolorin esi o)

Saka played sakara and nothing else....I know him personally he was my dad's bossom friend, I have at least some 40 tracks of saka, thanks to my Dad.My dad told me that saka said several times that he did not play fuji but sakara, sakara is slower in pace, the goje a major difference, but the voice and singing patterns and drums.

Both kololinton & k1 are just trying to be economical about the truth, if not barry that lure kollinton back into music he would have left music unceremoniously like all those people they mentioned in their story, & K1 admits ( 0ri" barry" sa lere ti yi pada) In 1 of Barry's numerous albums he acknoledge all the early were singers b4 him, i never hear any fuji musician mentioned anybody b4 barry in their album & in the mid 70s & 80s every known fuji was fashioned towards barry's including K1.

@Awalagba I totally agree with you that Barrister has never called his music sakara, i have no doubt that Barrister was the first to call this Ajisari music Fuji. Olaigbade played sakara and was an ajisari/ were musician, he was Barry's senior, but Alh Agba later became more popular than the rest of them, inluding Monsuru Akande who happened to have release his first record one week before Barrister's. I'll like to dispel the conception that Seamam's first feature was vol 6, he was on vol 2

@beehak Lie, the whole lie and nothing but a lie. NEVER did Barry called his music SAKARA, He called his music ajisari then Golden Fuji NEVER SAKARA. The barry's volume 5 album which launched barry into limelight was labelled FUji not SAKARA and Tunde (Seaman) had not even joined him them. The 1st album Tunde featured in was Volume 6, (Itan Sumola), and that also was labelled Golden Fuji.

@Awalagba Sure Saka opted for Sakara and not woro or were like other before him,Barry first professional gig,he called it GOLDEN SAKARA without goje/molo,not until Tunde(Seaman) join up with barry, did Barry started calling his music fuji,the same Seaman who was Saka drummer during fuji lawa period.
