Blessed Brides is a non-profit initiative working in partnership with Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT). Our aim is to help contribute towards and raise money for people in third world countries who otherwise could not fund a wedding. We encourage brides to donate their gowns after use, to enable us to either sell them to fund the weddings, or send the gowns direct to new brides who could only dream of wearing beautiful outfits like the ones we are accustomed to having. We also accept financial donations towards the UWT Wedding Fund.

Jazak'Allah khair for the feedback. The project is by no means excluding sisters in the countries you have mentioned. The Wedding Fund set up by UWT is currently focusing on a couple of countries in Asia, inshaAllah with your support and duas if the projects are successful and people give, UWT can expand on the areas being helped.

Masha Allah. Sister, this is beautiful. Please remember though, that there poverty-stricken people throughout the Ummah. Certainly brides to be in Gambia and Mauritania, the Philippines and China, Albania and Bosnia can also be the recipients of our generosity. Rasoolullah (SAW) counseled us all to shun asabiyyah = nationalism. Jazak Allah khair for your thoughtful idea.
