you know, Id actually might do that. they did it with Wolfenstein 3d and doom 1. they also realeased Full SDKs and Source codes.

When the Doom III Alpha was released to the public it was only a short version, not a demo but an Alpha test. This one is the full game (not the game today but the full Alpha version). So that's why when you play the Doom III Alpha we got it's only a shorter version. I wish ID Software released all the Quake III Arena & Doom III Pre-Releases of the game. Before ID Software let ATI fuck up Quake III Arena & Doom III they were much, much, much better!

This is a Different Version of the alpha-the leaked alpha has only 3 levels, this apparently has many more-not to mention the leaked alpha only had a few monsters-not the revenant, not the chainsaw zombie,and this has a different HUD and crosshair than the leak (.o2 alpha, to be exact).
