Video News Story: Kellie Moody leads fight to reduce stigma
surrounding hearing loss

Kellie Moody a semi-finalist on the BBC Three programme Britains Missing Top Model has completed her first modelling assignment since the show and been signed as the face of Siemens Hearing Instruments.

Kellie has a severe hearing loss yet overcome many hurdles to achieve her aspiration of becoming a model.

In the video news story she discusses overcoming the stigma attached to hearing loss and how modern hearing aids have given her added confidence. It is her aim to become a role model to people of all ages and beat the stigma that sometimes still surrounds hearing health.

I wonder why Kellie does not have her hearing aids visible at all times. It was good to see her on "Britain's Missing Top Model", but if her hearing aids are visible at a place where audiologists etc are, she should show them all the time, as a lot of young deaf women her age I have seen.
