what a ride that's all i have to say. best wooden coaster I've ever bin on. they say boulder dash is better i don't think so. this has all the good elements of a coaster. good tunnel, bunny hops, airtime, and the killer first drop. it also has old fashion lap bars which allow you to fly. like what he is talking about in this song. i nearly flew into the car behind me with my hands up on this ride. that's how strong the air time is on this monster.
i can't see how boulder dash a coaster on the side of a mountain that has 5 more bunny hops then the Phoenix be better. air time is the only thing that that ride has! this coaster owns in everything Else. i also can't stand how the newer coasters lock u in tight! this coaster is good for 1 reason. FREEDOM! so what if el toro has a injector hill? they strap u in with no free dome! this coaster is better! this coaster allows you to feel the airtime the way airtime should be felt
I'd like to visit Knoebels too someday along with the Hershy Park and choc factory.I've not been in that western part of Pa.tho.They say Knoebels has the best food of any American amusement park.
I cannot believe I ran across this video. I didn't even know it existed. Thank you Dave, how amazing. Talk about reaching right into my memory and heart! I am from San Antonio & the Rocket was my childhood! Every Saturday as a little girl my dad would take me to Playland park and we would ride that coaster again & again. Like the Park, he has been gone many years, but to find this video & song means more than you know! I hope one day to visit the Phoenix and ride down memory lane! Thank you!
I loved this video. I've been to knoebels 100+ times. I love how knoebels is so old fashion. I've been on the pheonix about 1000+ times and I love it! Thanks so much for putting this video up.
