Hello, again... My sister went to the USA for a month and came back last night and with her she had my camera, when she came home i checked the camera to see that it was ok, but unfortunately... it wasn't.
As you can see in the video the only thing that happens is that the lens is zooming in and out and trying to retract to it's normal position, but there's something that's keeping it from doing it.
I think that it's sand that's preventing it from retracting but it can be something other then that.
And the sound in the background is a fan...
If your wondering what camera it is, it's a canon power shot s3 is.

And please don't leave some stupid comment on how bad the quality is because there's no point of doing so, i had to record it with my phone and i think you know why lol.

  • @vpilic I've already tried that. Unfortunately it did not work for me. But thanks for the link never the less, maybe it'll help others! Cheers :)

  • it might be the memory card because i always have problems with this cam! its great thoe

  • @JJSuperClips Maybe, but not for me.. It's sand which has got stuck inside the lens barrell which is blocking the lens from retrackting. I never had any problems with the sd slot, some have different problems I guess lol.

  • ITs the gears dude mine did the same thing easy fix just take it apart then reset the gears it will work

  • @codygx123 That might do it, I'm just very unsure which screws to unscrew... Is it every single one or just a handful?

    Thanks
