Glider aerobatics with the SZD-59 in Hayingen. We used the Multiplex M-Link Variometer to see the values during aerobatic figures. The variometer in the plane has its limits at +/-5 m, the M-Link-sensor allows higher values.
There was no problem with the range. After more than 2 km range, the signal was cut off during the aero tow. During the aerobatics (beginning at 1200 m above the airfield) we recieved datas in a high quality all the time. The transmitter I use is the Cockpit SX.

  • Thanks, I know about the other functions. Here I made another movie, where you can see the altimeter in use (second half of the video): You find it under rcmovie ending with de. Search for: Die K-Woche in Bruchsal

  • Great Video, but it only shows the vario function of the sensor.

The sensor can also display current/min/max altitude as well as current/min/max rates of climb.

You can set alarms if you exceed set parameters.

All of this can be programmed into the sensor using USB programming lead from the PC or the self contained programmer available from Mutiplex.

The Cockpit SX can only show one parameter at a time.

The Royal Pro can show 3 lines at a time and also has an audio function for the Vario
