Well this was ridiculously unhelpful unless you're having problems plugging in cables.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and say the miserable lack of actual documentation is because you really really like your "service" fees.

my DTV Plus HD reciever is 24-500.. so does that mean I have to use coaxil?? or is there a issue with my router in my home office that is not connecting to the DTV router ??

In order for this to work, I had to set up the coaxial cable and UNPLUG the Ethernet chord. Once I had the Ethernet chord disconnected, I noticed the lights change, and was able to manually set up the network like any other wifi connection using my pass key. You'll know you have the coaxial cables correctly connected through your wifi box because your tv will work again once you reconnect the wires correctly. I thought it strange that I couldn't even have the Ethernet chord plugged in ...

We ended up with the ethernet cable and the 2 wires all connected for it to work.. the woman tech on phone said DO not use the ethernet cable because it blocks the network BUT!!!!!!! she was dead wrong!!! You have to use it for single dvr and not use it for whole home dvr system...

we just got this sat and after 4 hours of trying to get it to work and having to call the help line it still wouldnt connect so they sent a service tech out wed and now it works fine. The PROBLEM was we DO NOT have the whole home dvr system just 1 on our main tv. The service tech wanted the network light to turn green and stay green but it only ever flashed orange.. when we finally connected this light wasnt on at all like he thought it should be.. it makes a diff if you have whole home vs 1

for this to work you need the ethernet cable to be plugged into the directv receiver then plugg it into the directv wireless router (that black box) then follow the steps from 0:58-1:14 press the get connected button then follow the steps from there. make sure you select the directv to directv wireless option. Directv should be ashamd of themselves for this video SMH hope this help out guys and gals
