  • @TheHellion247 "Wanting it" or not is not important. The "want" is what resonates with meaning/mind/social conditioning and is what has been intentionally stripped out by the minimalists post-Hiroshima.

The 100 works of mill aluminum is simply a masterwork of light & material, and must be experienced. No photograph can do it justice. It and its space/light/air are inseparable.

  • @t7g6s8 have you even been to the Chinati Foundation?

  • Lazy? Would he have made that many pieces if he were lazy? Would he have had such a potent impact on art if he was lazy? The narrator in the beginning of this video says it best when he exclaims how the minimalists excavated the art object itself, by destroying metaphors relating to the real world. One could argue that internal content could be just as consuming as real world metaphor.

  • @TheHellion247 so if judd is lazy does that mean warhol was too since others made his work from the ideas he shared with those who helped them make their work?

  • Mumbo Jumbo. I can't stand Judd's work. He was a spoiled brat with enough money to get attention. He had little real talent. He paid technians to do his work for him. Now he has all these Phony artsy types treating him like he was another Leonardo Da Vinci. Look at this stuff! Would you want any of it?
