Here is my good friend John Silva with two more great Billy Murray records playing on his Edison Cylinder record player. Records are: 'Foolish Question' and 'Under the Anheuser Busch'. Enjoy! -Mike : )

  • I asked Johnny Amberol about that. He stated that he reviewed the video and noticed that there was just a white piece of paper inside the cylinder. The inner itself is not white. Thanks for watching our vid. :)

  • Billy Murray gets so much credit for his patriotic songs when I feel his real contribution is as a drunkards hero.

  • Gotta love Billy Murray. One of America's greatest recording artist.

Is "foolish Questions" an original cylinder, or a reproduction? It appeared to have a white inner like the old Electrophone cylinders made in the 1980's.

  • Interesting side note: "Foolish Questions" was inspired by Rube Goldberg's popular series of cartoons under the same title..... You could pair that with the later Blue Amberol, "I'm the Guy" (also By Murray") - also inspired by Goldberg's cartoons, and with lyrics by Goldberg.

  • Heard the first song in a different video and that was the first thing I thought of. I love this kind of music.

  • This song was in the game The Ship.

  • Great song! I love Billy Murray to! As far as I'am concerned, Billy Murray is the best singer that ever lived!

  • I have a 78 of Florrie Forde singing this as "Down at the old Bull and Bush" which i think was the original title of the song.

  • Those where too great wonderful songs by Mr. Murray thanks for posting loved it.

  • 160 rpm

  • What speed is that gramophone?

  • Two great songs. Thank's for sharing. Sounds like your reproducer might need to rebuilt. It would sound much clearer.
