@CSILCPD oh, thanks for the Information :)

Nice video. Too bad we got rid of those old marked cars. Can't wait to make motor and get me a subsidized car. My Sergeants and higher ups all have chargers and 4Runners along with other cars, however these seem to be the most popular.

They also get free gas and oil to a certain amount per duty mile, and insurance is covered by the county.

@CSILCPD Thank you :D

They still have POVs in Honolulu, but they don't use'em for prisoner transfer. I think they are subsidized $488 per month. These are some of the guidelines:
All vehicles must accommodate four adult males comfortably. Trucks and vans, as well as vehicles with diesel engines, are prohibited. Minimum required dimensions include a wheelbase of not less than 100 inches, an
eight cylinder engine or, alternately, the largest six cylinder engine manufactured for the make and model.

@BigdogMD808
thank you for the information, why are diesel engines prohibited? Here in Germany all Law enforcement units are diesel powered

@CSILCPD I'm not exactly sure why no diesel, but my guess would be that here in Hawaii the availability of diesel fuel is limited to relatively few gas stations should the need arise to take on fuel outside of the station.
