  • Do not cook before freezing just make the cheese sticks and place them in the freezer. If you coat a lot at once, place them on a tray making sure the cheese stick are not touching, also separate layers with wax paper. If you plan on storing for a long time place in a zip lock freezer bag. They will be stay good for about 6 months when frozen. The coated cheese sticks can then be fried from frozen. It works great and easy since you can prepare well in advance.

  • the three containers contain 1. Upper Crust Tempura batter mix (dry). 2. Prepared tempura batter mix made with water. 3. Upper Crust Panko bread crumbs seasoned with Italian seasoning, garlic powder and white pepper. you can purchase the Panko & Tempura batter at uppercrustent website or the Panko is at Amazon. I hope this answers your questions. The cheese sticks are fantastic

  • bobwatters - Thanks for the comment. You might be surprised at how many different cuisines from Mexican, Italian, American, etc are now using Panko. Since the Panko crumbs have no flavor but add a great crispiness, you can easily spice them away you like and use them in a wide range of recipes. Check out our website for over 120 menu ideas from restaurants and chefs.

  • Thanks for your interest in the Cheese Stick recipe. The spices which are added in the recipe are

    White Pepper

    Garlic Powder

    Italian seasoning blend

Make sure you spray the Panko with oil before you add the spices so the spices stick and not settle. Add the amount of spice to suit your needs I recommend for every cup of Panko add about 1 teaspoon of each spice. if you have any additional questions let me know and happy cooking.

  • Now THESE look like mozzarella sticks I could enjoy. I've been browsing some of the other youtube ones and some look horrid (not that they would necessarily taste bad, but, hey, presentation counts).
