Hey Son , Don't make that fellower dodge so much for he may hurt himself dodging your question.

Now if he does not have a view of what heaven or hell might be like, Why ask him anything.

Also ask him if he has a bible and if not give him one to read.

I believe in God's Word, and it appears that Pagett does too. There will be chastening in the fire (LoF), but as for etenal suffering in a subteranean dungeon of fire deep in the earth, that is the most terrible fairytale made by man. And it is not sciptural. The fire (LoF) in revelations, is it in your opinion that it is the same fire in 1Corth 3:11-15 and Heb 12:29? I believe it is.

Actually hell is a subteranean dungeon of fire deep in the earth. Thats what the scripture teaches. Take it or leave it . That's where Jesus went when he died and preached to spirits held there since the flood and before he rose from the dead or returned to his Father in heaven.
If you sit in judgement on the scriptures you are hardly a follower of Christ for a christian is one submitted to the Lordship of Christ and that includes believing His holy scriptures.

What verses are you using to promote this dungeon of fire and terror? There is only one fire!

here are the scriptures
2 Pet.2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
The references for hell fire are Jesus own words, no rooom here to post them but there are many.

Mat 18:9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Here is another scripture.
Mark 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
The point is by using systematic theology we can discern quite a lot about hell, where it is and whats inside it.

As to the two scriptures that you mention above , I do believe that they are refering to the same fire of God as you have correctly pointed out. But this is different from the flames of hell. Hell's fire is eternal, the fire above is a form of judgement that all men's work must endure. Hell's fire is the sentence handed down, the above fire is the day in the heavenly dock in court so to speak. Two very different fires.

He doesn't see God, but he believes in Him. Is seeing is believing for Pagett your best argument?
