  • Well, you've certainly put us women in our place.

  • You seem to think there are universal standards of beauty that ALL men ascribe to. Thick in the middle, thigh circumference?

The issue is not whether men want women who are curvy rather than thin (or god forbid, obese), but the fact that any specifications are dictated to women at all. Everyone is different. The sooner we stop categorizing women into their acceptable shapes and sizes the better.

Dude, some men actually *like* big girls, or better yet, don't care one way or the other.

  • i, personally, don't find a woman who looks like she has HIV AIDS attractive. Men don't like obese women, of course, but that doesn't mean we want to fuck stick figures either. The perfect woman is thick in the right places and has a thigh with a circumference larger than what you can wrap both hands around.

  • @Mrmoc7

Thanks for speaking for all men everywhere. I'll go measure my thighs now.

  • Wow, how did all the comments here become about men??? The description of the video that I see here is about the destructive messages to and trivializing images of women in fashion magazines. Where does this say ANYTHING about "what men want"? Hello, folks, THIS ISN'T ABOUT MEN. I know, that's shocking and all, but really, everything isn't about men...

  • @maiathebeegrrl All we have to do is open up a magazine to be reminded of our imperfections, we don't need men on top of it all telling us what is "beautiful". I don't care what men want, I want my future daughters and other young girls to realize that their worth is NOT in their beauty, which is something that is heavily pushed in the media. As long as a woman is healthy, no one has a right to call her ugly. And you are right, the world does not revolve around men.

  • "The ideal of female beauty as seen through the lens of fashion magazines" yet only ONE person ids at all 'bound' to this or ANY ideal female beauty and femininity -> ME! Such is MY cross to bear! From this day forward, ALL females shall be entirely free from any ideals, expectations, etc. Goddess put ME on Earth to be stripped of all malehood and completely feminized ireversably and I am honered a grateful to goddess for the priviledge of being permitted to serve her in such capacity! -;)

  • @nigen It is always the male that will have to prove it's genetic adequacy in just about any species, except maybe sea horses. This is because males invest less time and energy into procreation than females. That's what's so shocking about the beauty standards put on women, it's completely unnatural from an evolutionary perspective.

Women are competitive for the same reason there are divides amongst any minority group. They have less power and have to fight for what they little they have.

  • @DeadSleepers I honestly don't think anyone cares want men want in regards to women. This video is meant to allow women the relief of worrying about how men perceive them for two seconds so they can consider what they want for themselves.

  • @ladyEulaelie: Say it sista!

  • @Mrmoc7: Aww, you're so sweet!

  • From a big girl, IMO it's completely natural to have a population of varying sizes that are considered healthy weights, but lets stop lying to ourselves that being fat has no implications & those who put implications on it are oppressors. I wish women weren't so dependent on the opinion of others. Be confident & in control of who you are & what you want to be. If you are fat & not happy, shut up about it, find who you are underneath the fat, lose the weight & stop validating your misery.

  • @Mrmoc7 I always thought the the perfect woman was healthy, regardless of her body's natural shape.

  • @funkybruiser As long as it isn't just for women that's fine.
