A look back at 2007 Big Cat TV.
Come with us as we update you on the big cats that appeared in three of our more popular pod casts of 2007.
At Big Cat Rescue, we pride ourselves that we are doing the best we can in this animal industry to have strong ethics. We have grown into a world-class non-breeding sanctuary and we don't give in to the theory that babies bring in money, or that you have to rotate animals or get rid of surplus. We have no roller coasters, no petting zoos or photo booths with the cats, no taking our animals off property, and other things that other places think they need to attract money from visitors. We offer only guided tours at selected times in order to educate people on the cats situations both in captivity and in the wild.
We are proud that we grow with your support year after year and we do our best to put our animals' needs and welfare first and hope to show others that this is the way it can and should be done. Our videos gain in popularity and help us spread our message of respecting big cats and supporting programs and legislation that keep them out of people's houses and puts the emphasis into saving them in the wild.
Thanks for a great year!!! See you in 2008!

  • I think it's great that you guys do what you do, and are so knowledgeable and ethical about the situation of the cats. I'm still a little confused about spaying the tiger - I know what you're saying, and the big problem is that their habitats aren't protected. But I didn't know there were enough in captivity where we won't have to worry about tigers actually becoming extinct? Just hypothetically, I'd rather have tigers still existing in zoos than not existing at all.

    Keep up the amazing work!

  • @Goldfirecat99 The difference between our tigers and the tigers in captivity that are part of species survival plans, is that our tiger come from backyards, they have been bred with related cats, they are not pure genetically like cats in species survival plans whose genetic history can be traced back :)

  • you guys should find a companion for the black leopard.

  • @teta809 Introducing two mature cats is a process we just wouldn't undertake, leopards are solitary just like all cat species (except for the lion) and are happier living alone :)

  • do u have ligers there or is that just some zoos

  • @tearsfrombrowneyes We do have one elderly female liger we rescued in 2008 her name is Freckles, these cats are only bred by people who do not care about animal welfare and just want to make money.

  • ligers are really show peices, and can't survive in a jungle. And also, genetically twisting a specie just for the sake of amusement, is very wrong.

  • This Big Cat Rescue org really knows what's it is doing! Again, excellent info on these animals. Is it OK to link these videos to other sites?

  • 4:31 wooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww i never see a tj and bella b4 , this is wonderful , a huge big cat with a huuuge feelings with someone else :-)

  • @rozitchadien I am sick and tired of idiots like you stating they should be released in the wild. These were captive born and bred animals that came from people who thought they were pets or circuses. These animals would not survive a week in the wild. They would die very quickly. They don't know how to hunt. They couldn't survive a fight with a wild cat.

    Jesus, educate yourself.

  • I love tigers, they are noble animals ever, really:
