That shot is apparently mirrored.
Notice that 2 out of the 3 people on that shot are holding it with their left hands. Seems more likely that the majority would be holding it with their right hands, no? ;)

One tangent on Mr. Ive's final remark:
Obsession is the key coming anywhere close to perfection.

In design, perfection seems to come from getting the design out of the way.

I think the point Ive is making is that there are allot of products that have certain indicators on them, such as notebook, that serve a minor purpose but always take a somewhat prominent role in teh design. Such as stand-by indicators. A great example of his design philosophy is when you look most Mac's. Their stand-by indicator is build behind a small layer in the computers housing, so that it's only visible when it's supposed to indicate the computer is on stand-by.
