@Porolisum Actually, the correct form is "sînt" not "sunt", as more Latin it might sound. To make the long story short, it's because it's derived from the 3rd person plural Present Subjunctive of "sum", which is "sint". Check a Romanian language synchrony and diachrony book and you'll find out about the whole process.

There is no "cinemă" in Romanian, the correct word is "cinema".
The word "sînt" was used only under soviet/communist occupation in an attempt to make the language less Latin. The correct form of the word is "sunt".
