@YouMyWifeNowDave I fixed it. It no longer hisses. I'm not selling it anymore. Just a warning though, you CANNOT turn off the direct monitoring - a strange decision on Yamaha's part, so be wary of that. Not good if you want to monitor effects and you can hear both software monitoring and raw monitoring.
what lavatris1 wrote is not right: the line 2 can be used either in mono (left or rignht) with the jack inputs, or in stéréo. The direct monitoring is mixed with the treated sound on the phones output, but it is possible to have only the treated sound (of the computer) by pluging the headphone (or a power amp) in one of the others outputs.
its cheap but its horrible. it sounds great but theres no mute on any of the channels, direct monitoring mixes the clean sound with the sound coming out of the computer, and line 2 doesnt have a mono option!!!
@fmcampers you can off the volume of the mic or turn off the phantom power when you use A6 for listening music in that way you cant hear anything from mic , but since the A6 is designed for recording i think there's nothing wrong with it.
g8 product, I am using audiogram 6, it comes with a cubase and recording quality is superb..... very happy with my audiogram. For MIDI recording, I use yamaha UX16
This product is good as! I recommend this to everyone! I've used this to record all my rap vocals, for 2 years, and it works like a charm still. I am running this hardware product on my PC Windows 7 laptop. The music software I use is Sonar 8.5 Producer Edition. However, this audio interface does not have any midi inputs, which is really upsetting.
But recording my electric piano, my mates guitar by guitar leads, with this audio interface is great and gets awesome quality. Check out my music.
