Mole Day Rap

This is a rap for a project for Mole Day (10/23) by Andy Franks, Jake Harrington, and Morgan Lenehan from Winfield, Alabama. We videoed it in my basement one night and yes the drums are in fact Guitar Hero drums. Don't judge us.

I got a new substance, that I need to measure
So I use the SI unit that gets the most pleasure
I gotta use the mole, not the one in the hole
And when we rap about it, we use a lot of soul
We study all day, even in our showers
And we try not to react like Ausin Powers (moley, moley, moley)

You know it's abbreviated mol
But I bet you didn't know this fact to tell
Amedeo Avagodro was the man who discovered
But he didn't get the credit till he was done dead and covered
This Italian made the connection so that now we all know
And now we're like the Roxbury saying, "AMEDEO!!"
His work dealt with the weight of atoms, which we learned in class
And if you don't understand, then you can kiss my atomic mass!
