OSAAT Naatya-Raaga 2008 Dance Competition

Team # 3 will present a "Tarana", a unique composition in the kathak dance form, decorated with skillful hand movements which evolve from one another, resulting in a highly artistic pattern called tukdas like Dadra, chakradhaar tukdas, Parans and Perimalu. The melodic musical patterns are translated into lyrical dance movements, resulting in a rich display of footwork and spins. This Tarana is composed by Dr. Maya Rao, in Raag Tilak Kamod, teen taal.
