High-resolution episcopic microscopy (HREM) is a relatively new technique which allows incredibly detailed 3D images of tiny structures such as mouse embryos to be imaged in a way that was previously impossible. Watch this video to see the technique explained and demonstrated by one of its creators, Tim Mohun.
