So this is a bit of my summer so far. Mostly of my friends and I being ourselves around each other but also other random clips that I haven't used before.
Music, not my first choice but admittedly, it has grown on me.
Ramble time... let's see how long I can stretch this out....

We have another horse show coming up. I will actually be jumping this time. Conner and I still haven't had a lot of rides together so we are only pushing 2'3 maybe 2'6. It's a start though, right?
Last show I didn't get many clips of myself but may put up a video of my friends. In regards to how I did in all my endless flat classes (there were only 6): My first class was on grass in the hunter ring. Modified hunter 3'3 u/s. I was freaked about that class for like a week before but it turned out better than expected and I placed 5th out of 6. Which pleased me considering I expected disqualification (which only tells you how real my paranoia was) and Conner was a total giraffe because of the bugs.
Next two classes were also in the grass ring. About the same lack of success as the first class. Maybe less. I placed 5th out of 6 in my Children's EQ Flat and in my Modified Child/Adult Hunter u/s I sucked enough to avoid placing altogether. That was the end of the grass ring for that show, thankfully, but it hadn't helped my low amount of confidence blossom. I still had two classes in the small sand hunter ring (which happens to be a totally different league than the grass ring. A smaller, more down to earth league).
We had a saddle fitter come out in the middle of the show and fit us out a saddle. My mother bought the saddle and told me to use it in my last two classes. I was quite pleased about that. The giraffe I had been riding dropped his head right away. Conner totally loved the new saddle.
In my first class in the sand ring we pulled a second place, a Short/long stirrup 2'3 u/s. The last one was a Pre Child/Adult Equitation Flat and I was sooooo sure I wouldn't place. My 'sitting trot' felt more like either horrible bouncing or perching and my canter wasn't great either. But apparently the judge thought I was good because we claimed first out of 13 or so. I was quite pleased with myself.
Anyway, show ramble coming to a screeching halt. If you read all that you deserve an ice capp or something. ;)
