Survey Nation realizes that in order to be a fully comprehensive media organization we need to present our subscribers with more than just news and politics. Which is why we've started a new segment titled "Product Showcase" that will highlight some of the newest and most exciting technology currently being introduced into the market.

This week we are at the annual AES (Audio Engineering Society) convention in San Francisco to take a sneak peak at what the leaders in pro-audio gear have in store for consumers and prosumers.

In addition, we want to give those of you who have experience with this technology an opportunity to review these products. Take part and be heard with Survey Nation.

  • @mr1aa the TLM49 is inspired by the U47, M49, and M50. so if you want a solid state/transformerless mic that sounds very U47-ish, check out the Neumann TLM49. Its fantastic. It sees a lot of use in my studio...

  • Sennheiser aren't exactly a bad microphone either. I love the 421 and 441. Great mics. It's not as if they were sold to Bearinjure *yes. intentionally spelled wrong*.

  • @iggysweetrains they still make nice microphones...If you're looking for something more "old-neumann-like", look at Gefell.

  • Neumann Microphone are not actually The Neumann anymore, they've been sold to Sennheizer and this is not the same anymore, if you're looking for the original fat and warm Neumann sound , get something that was made before 1980, otherwise you'll be getting what Sennheizer think is Neumann, I'm sorry to see the great manufacturer go...

  • Hopefully we don't see "TLM47" in the future!

  • MAKE A U47 REISSUE!!!!!!!
