When you're gone [chapter19]

N: whats wrong?
S: Im not talking to you.
N: whatd I do?
S: I cant believe you didnt tell me. Were you just hoping Id never find out?!

[So much for the whole not-talking-to-him thing. I needed some answers. ]

N: whoa. Back up. What are you talking about?
S: Elizabeth. That name mean anything to you? No? Well, how about the word baby? Ring any bells?
[He tensed up and sighed.]
N: how do you know about her?
S: you certainly didnt tell me. And neither did jonathanI cant even be mad at him because hes not here so Im stuck with all my anger pointed at you.
N: I didnt want to hurt you, ok?
S: that worked out well, didnt it?

[I shook my head and went inside, locking the door behind me. My mom walked to the door, probably to see who it was, and gasped at me crying. ]

SM: honey, whats wrong?

[I held my necklace tightly in my hand and slid down the back of the door. I looked up at my mom, ignoring nicks voice talking to me behind the door. ]

S: I need you to call Mrs. Jonas. I need her to make nick leave. please.

[My mom nodded and went to go get the phone. Just when I thought everything was starting to be okay again, it gets complicated. I closed my eyes and tried to just forget everything going oneven for just a minute. I could hear nicks phone ringing. He answered and was arguing with his mom. I shook my head, not wanting to listen. He finally gave in and I could hear his car start back up and leave the driveway. I just stayed in that spot, staring at the wall in front of me, trying to calm down. ]

[the next day]
[I got up earlier than usual and decided to get ready for school and take a drive, and when it got to be time for school, I decided I wasnt up for it. I parked at a small, local coffee shop and sat there for a while sipping a cup of tea. At ten oclock, nick had a free period, and he spent it repeatedly calling me and leaving me text messages. I finally answered, annoyed that he wouldnt stop.]

S: what do you want?
N: to see you. You arent at school, where are you? Ill come there.
S: just leave me alone. I just found out a few things that are a bit shocking, ok? I dont know how to deal with it.
N: let me help you deal with it. Please. Sarahyou know Id never want to hurt you or lie to you. I just didnt know how to tell you.

[I closed my eyes and rubbed my forehead. I shouldnt even be so mad at him, of course he didnt know how to tell me, it wasnt his secret to tell. ]

S: was he ever going to tell me?
N: yes. [sigh] thats why he kept saying he loved you that night at the game. He was going to tell you that night. He had just found out not long before.
S: Im at Eddies coffee shop. Hurry.

[I closed my phone and let it drop onto the table. I decided to go outside and sit on the bench in front as I waited for nick to come. It only took a few minutes before he was in front of me, pulling me to stand up, and pulling me into a hug. ]

S: Im an emotional disaster.
N: youre perfect.

[Nick POV]
[I slightly rocked back and forth as I held Sarah in my arms. I rested my cheek against her head, planning to hold her close to me for as long as shed let me. ]

S: nick?
N: hmm?
S: if theres anything else I should know, now would be the time to tell me.

School is lame...too much homework.
anyways, you guys said you're still into this story, so i'll keep posting but i migt cut it shorter than i intended to so that i can start a new story :]
