@sr20jun the corvette got a penalty for cutting the track ( overtaking on the pit-exit) and had to let the porsche pass

You gotta drive your own car, at times it's best to not complete the pass, you have to maintain a shoving advantage. All he needed was his nose out front, he got turned into the wall because he got himself into a position where it could happen to him. After you punt someone you better be able to get away from them, or be in a position to defend yourself. He was at the mercy of the guy he'd just hit and reaped the rewards.
