I made up a little Valentine's Day songlet a few days ago. I know I know, it's a bit late and I would have uploaded it sooner, but I worked all weekend.
This is a small satire on the commercialism of Valentine's Day and how it's basically all about spending money.
This was also to test out the video recording capabilities of my roommates new Nikon, which might I add, isn't very good. It takes great pictures, but video? And Audio? Meh.
You probably won't be able to hear me very well because of said reason. Just go along with the lyrics below.
Anyway, here it is.
Enjoy.
Chords:
Capo 4th fret
Intro: G D Em C, G D C2 (or whatever it's called) Dsus D
Verses 1 & 2: G D Em C
Bridge: F E, F E
Ending Verses: Am E Dm E
Lyrics:
Valentine's Day is coming 'round the corner so fast
Hope you saved that Christmas casssshhhh
If you got a boo, so sad so true, but you gotta buy chocolates or a rose or two
Or she will straight up break up with you
It's really trite and such a cliché, but you better do something special or say
"I love you" in some corny way
I don't have a girl, but I'm just fine because I don't even have to spend a single dime
On making her happy all the time
It takes more than money, I know
But if you've got that dough, you've got a better chance
For romance
Valentine's Day is here
It comes but once a year
The time to spend your money
On those you hold most dear
They say you can't buy love
But we know that's not true
With diamond rings and other shiny things
In no time flat she'll whisper, "I love you"
Ooooooooh, I looooooove yoooouuuu
In no time flat she'll whisper, "I love you"

Yup, I sure do.
I'm not that good though. I can't do crazy riffs or anything so I'd say I'm average at best.
