I found out today that this video had been blocked in almost every country in the world due to its inclusion of "Trans Europe Express" by Kraftwerk.

What is most disappointing is that I cannot download it from my account onto computer and take out the music as a re-edit.

I do not want to go through with a dispute to YouTube right now, unless I cannot find the original footage stored on DVD.

"On 26 July 2008, East Midlands Trains ran a special HST working called the 'Valenta Venturer' to from Leicester to Scarborough and back. This was to commemorate the final two power cars it has that still contained Paxman Valenta engines. It was these engines that made the characteristic growling and 'thumping' sounds, along with the generators that caused the high-pitched 'scream'.

Paxman Valenta engines were fitted to all HST power cars from new, when they were built in 1976-1982. But at 30+ years old, the end of HSTs is still a while away, and the engines needed replacing.

Music used was 'Trans Europe Express' by Kraftwerk, (a German band), possibly the first band to experiment with electronics to produce sounds we take for granted at discos etc today."
