Cab Ride on the Down East Scenic Railroad - 7-24-10

Cab ride in DSRX 54, ex BML 54, nee Berlin Mills Railway 15, a General Electric 70 ton Diesel Electric locomotive. This was shot moving Westbound from the Ellsworth station and shows the density of crossings along this stretch of line. A big thank you to the crew, Bill Alexander, Engineer, Shawn Melvin (on the front of the engine in the video) brakeman, Leverett Fernald, brakeman and all of the volunteers at the Down East Scenic that made this shot possible. The locomotive was sold new to the Berlin Mills Railway, then sold to the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad where it ran up to being sold to the Down East Scenic.

@GP9railfan Well I need to get down to Ellsworth more often. This was the first day of operation, they are now on a regular schedule, Saturdays and Sundays, two trips a day.
