@Fobia82 I was thinking the same. Yes, the movie was crappy but there really was no point in spoiling the movie for people who might have wanted to see it.

For those interested, Good Morning America was run at this time by the Entertainment unit of ABC, and until the late 80s the philosophy was "hosts" rather than "anchors". David Hartman, remember, was a former actor. I think they would get guest hosts if needed, and I vaguely remember clips of Alex Trebek (yes, Trebek) guesting. Which explains why Toni is attempting to host.
By the time I started to watch regularly, they changed this, because it was always Dr. Nancy Snyderman if Joan was off.
