Hobo Excerpt from documentary exploring the quickly vanishing hobo culture. We speak with the old-timers who have ridden the rails for years and learn about the new generation. This excerpt is the beginning of the doc, and features narration about radio HOBO, "The Big Rock Candy Mountain," and passing trains. Closeups of various hobos and passing landscapes. Old hobo talks about hopping first train. Hobos talk about romanticism of the rails. National PBS broadcast. Won local Chicago Emmy. Scott Jacobs won one for videography.

  • I saw a documentary on my local tvstation in aurora co about railriding called "Hobo" and it was shot it first person by a homeless guy and there was a quote in it "train hoppings all about wearing tough guy shirts". Has anyone else seen this? Please let me know

  • "Every" Hobo Documentary here on You-tube is missing 95% of the whole program? All we get is a Short Cock Tease Preview of the program like the one above! "Why", will the government kill you for posting a "Whole" Hobo Documentary? Whats up with these Hobo shows?

  • Hoboness....

  • a lake of stew and wisky too

  • Nice to see it before all the body pierced, fixed gear riding, tight pants having mummy and daddies little hipsters jumped literally on the fashion boxcar (bandwagon)

Before returning home for their grant cheques and to get some more uber 'cool' tattoos.

  • hey Tom, is that you singing. I know that voice anywhere!

  • Upload one half of a video. Great idea, moron.

  • @1mealperday Maybe, but trains are faster today and the 911 massacre has made rail yards more secure.
