i saw his band live in nashville 20 years ago and inthe middle of a song i dont remember which one steve via slung his guitar around his sholder and the strap broke and he stood there with an embarressed look on his face until a rodie came running on stage with another gutiar, funny shit
This album kicked my ass when I first heard it blasting through a demonstration car stereo(expo). Current Van Halen postings say that Eddy's son is doing an alright job, minus the vocal contributions Mike brought to the table. But I don't think Mike's playing was ever up to an appropriate level for Van Halen. He always seemed like just an extra guy, even his plain looks; ie, kinda pudgy(and not very California looking!). Eddy and Alex and the singers have always been dark and ripped.
LMFAO. Ok, I need 3 pairs of the tightest, tiger stripped spandex, 1 pair of chapless pants, 5 of the hottest chicks in your town, and 2 buckets for fried chicken, cause you know I gotta feed my bitches! Wauw!!
Dude, does Roth practice Capoeira? He seems to use capoeira moves in many of his video and performances.

I think if Mike played on it it would have sold the exact same.......................... ...I think the album sold well cause people wanted to see who Dave was going to get to compete with V.H. (mostly Eddie)Even more so then people wanted to hear Dave.....................thats just my thoughts............I like the Band and Dave personaly.
Yes...Mike is a good singer.....but AGAIN.....................if you think people would buy a cd based only on background vocals...............I think your way WRONG.......................EE AS was Great and talked about cause of three great musicians hired to play in the DLR band.........not cause of background vocals.......your either going to buy a cd cause you like the music/band/musician(s)........ ..NOT cause of a background singer...........Period.....th ats my story and I'm sticking to it!!
