remember transit can be better than one driver cars stuck in traffic madder than the fires of hell giving each other the finger because they can't get anywhere.
Remember the next boom is coming and Calgary is going to grow even more.

I agree with the general gist of the video. We do need to improve transit in Canadian cities. Our infrastructure is built around car use. However it is hard to understand that one would need to travel 16km to get to a school in Calgary. If there is need of special school I understand, but that makes your situation much less typical.

@vibrantyyc the beginning of your video, the first clip @720am is midleading. You have her at a route 2/53/67 bus stop on 17 ave but the video CLEARLY starts on a route 16, 56, 80, 84 stop in Braeside to Southland station and north from there. I lost all pitty i had for you

For those that care, Calgary Transit has improved DRAMATICALLY since the year 2000... But there is still a LOT of room for improvement...

Transit in the YYC is brutal. kudos for making some noise!

Calgary Transit is a joke! Paying 90 dollars a month for my transit pass to ride broken down c-trains, to wait for major delayed c-trains downtown after work to take me home, and taking shuttle busses almost once a week to get to work because of broken down c-trains. Calgary transit is a joke and if parking downtown wasn't so expensive I'd drive to work every single fricken day!!! Calgary Transit is a huge joke!

I feel for you - I'm 15 (so I can't drive on my own) and it takes me well over an hour to get to school. 15 minute walk to bus, then train, then bus. Usually I'm late for school, or at least one of the connections makes me wait another 30 minutes. I don't have a choice of where I live so..
I love my school, it's done so much for me, but unfortunately next year I have to go to the (not so great) local high school (which doesn't have AP etc) since the commute is just too much to handle...

PS: I use Calgary Transit every day and don't own a car.
Hi all, I am really glad that there is good conversation about this video. We did have to remove one comment because of some inappropriate language. We really try not to censor any conversation so lets all try to keep it clean so that we do not have to!
