  • Apparently, Mr.Will1985 likes fire alarm bells. :S

    That bell is soooooo loud!

  • @FireAlarmTechnology lool yeah, and it is, im really used to the noise of it

  • I think Edwards has the bell mounts on the center of the bell especially on 10" bells. Wheelock and Simplex have them towards the bottom of the bell. Now if Edwards did that then the 202 Strobe retrofit plate would fit on a 10" bell. I know Edwards adapter plates fit 6" Bells but according to GE Security the bell and strobe adapter are sold seperately and usually the adapter is sold individually when being retrofit to bells. And 10" Bells. Strobes would have to be mounted Seperately.

  • @MrWill1985 the older edwards bells were made like that, but i think the newer ones have the bell mounted at the bottom

  • I wonder how these single stroke bells would be if they had the remote strobe adapter plate on them? Ive heard vibrating bells with them made by Wheelock and had the former Wheelock RSS strobe design. And I know Wheelocks current RSSP can go on bells. And EST did have the Integrity remote strobe adapter plate but I dont know if its still manufactured. I could imagine both Elemtaries schools and middle school I attended with them. But the systems all got replaced in recent years.

  • @MrWill1985 My schools systems is really old, with these type of bells, if you want to hear it, you can search up my videos and I have recording of the fire drills at my school. I'm betting that for my school they are going to keep replacing the bells that break with newer bells.

    Love that sound!!!

  • I looked at the Ge Security website and the Integrity remote strobe adapter is still made. But so far I know it fits on 6" bells but I dont know if it can fit on larger bells. But I know Simplex used to make an adapter plate for bells and I know Wheelock makes the adapter plate for any size bell. And even if the adapter plate is retrofitted additional strobes have to also be added in the building. Like in rooms with no bells. And hallways where they need more strobes then available bells.

  • Now that I think about it I saw on Faradays website a pull station model similar to what both my Elementary schools had during my years there and looking on Youtube at a Hospital Safety video the red fire light shown was activated by a Faraday pull station. So I now suspect both schools had Faraday Fire alarms those days. Now both have the EST Genesis. Either horn strobes or chime strobes. Im not sure which. But my first EM has 3 integrities on the exterior.

  • I know my middle school forgot to have at least 1 old single stroke bell removed. Like the one in the Cafeteria. My elemtary schools both I dont 100% think they missed an old signal removal. And my high school definetely as it renovated before my freshman year. I myself used to be scared of fire drills in Elementary school as the alarms are loud. But now days bells or horns can bother my ears depending on how close I am to them. Horns didnt bother my ears at Philadelphias 30th St Station.

  • @MircomFan My school system I attended was really old to. My first Elementary school opened in 1977. My second Elementary in 1965. My middle school in 1954. And my high school in 1949. But my high school renovated so all single stroke bells there were replaced with EST Integrity Horn strobes with remote strobes in the classrooms. The other 3 replaced the original system with EST Genesis audible devices. And new pull stations. I believe most of my school system was signel stroke bells at first.
