Kevin Lacy - Sound Design Reel

I am a Sound Designer, Re-Recording Engineer, Sound Effects Editor and Freelance Audio Engineer who can handle any type of production audio. This video highlights the high quality of my work on a variety of different projects, from documentaries to dramas and all points between.

Here's what is featured in this reel:

~ Life Is My Movie Entertainment - Studio Signature Logo:
Used library Sound F/X to create all of the audio for LIMM's corporate ID.

~ An Inconvenient Tax (Documentary) - Uncle Sam Sequences:
The production crew never had any intention of using location sound for these sequences, as they were sure the score would be enough, so they shot them MOS (without sound). Of course, when they got into post-production, they changed their minds and wished they had the location sound back. Since there wasn't even any location audio to use as a reference, I had to create all of the audio completely from scratch and make it seem real. Using a combination of library sound f/x along with some Foley work, I was able to save the day and deliver a meticulously detailed bed of sound for these two important sequences in this feature-length documentary.

~ AMEND.ORG - Public Service Announcement
In my role as Re-Recording Engineer on this project, I juggled all of the client provided audio and delivered a cohesive mix. Extensive noise filtering on the interview audio was necessary, as it was shot in a rather noisy environment. This is just a small portion of the 3+ minute PSA.

~ Jewtopia - :30 TV Spot
I wore all three hats on this :30 spot. I was the Sound Designer, Sound Effects Editor and Re-Recording Mixer. Animators created their visual around the :30 of VO's, sound f/x and music that I assembled for this spot advertising the hit Off-Broadway Play.

~ You Were Perfectly Fine - Independent Dramatic Film
Again, as the Re-Recording Mixer on this independent short film, I was provided all of the location sound, score audio and sound f/x and was able to deliver a crystal clear mix, despite the sonic color of the source audio varying greatly from shot to shot.
