What will happen at the moment of death?

@johnankerberg - 2 Cor 5:8 "...willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." Paul will die and be present with Christ when Christ returns to earth and resurrects Paul (1 Thess 4:16). In 2 Cor 5:10 it says "for we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ." This does not happen immediately, but Christ wakes the dead (Dan 12:2) and judges them "at his appearing and his kingdom" (2 Tim 4:1). If we went to heaven at death, we would have already been judged.

AMEN ! I am weary of the no-soul teachings of these Christian atheists and expect more of my soul than to just go ffft at the moment of death !

What are their proof for saying this? is it not just about making money? I am sick of Pastors/Priests/Rabbis/Imams coming out with all their ideas without tangible proof.

you are all dreamers.. we rot in the ground with our consciousness gone forever.

This is hilarious! So, the rich man and people in "hell" will have compassion on their loved ones who are still on earth, hoping that they will not end up in "hell" where they are, yet those in heaven will be blissful and joyful while looking at THEIR loved ones burning alive for eternity in "hell." What a twisted and blasphemous doctrine!

this is wrong because actually, the rich man was not in heaven he was in hell, he was suffering, so he didn't want his family to go trough the same thing......
the bible says that you wont loose your councious in hell....you will remember those things in hell.....in heaven you'll kno who your brother was, but you wont have that kind of relationship as brothers in earth.........
At the moment of death, we cease to think, not having any "personal knowledge".
Psalm 146:4 - His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
We only become thinking, conscious beings at the resurrection in the future at the last day for purpose of judgment. We unconsciously "sleep in the dust of the earth" (Daniel 12:2) until that day.
The righteous inherit eternal life with Christ and reign with him on the EARTH (Rev 5:10), and do not ever go to heaven.

@jennrummymeister - Read 2 Corinthians 5, & 1 Corinthians 15:35-58.When we are absent from the body, we are present with the Lord. Our soul will be with Him immediately, but our glorified body will be raised to reign with Him forever.
