  • this call was mutual aid to a F.D. 3 districts away, that is why it takes so long, onondaga hill f.d. was already on scene, we were called to immediate the situation, thay took patient care.

  • we need powercalls on our trucks but no worrys cause our rescue is getting replaced with a rescue pumper and our engine is getting replaced with a rescue pumper and the squad and mini are going to be all in one truck a 2010 international tanker/brush/rescue

  • it not rural were right outside of a city and our town is very big we have stores all over

  • its interesting where i live in northwest ohio, almost every town has an ambulance and we have upwards of a half dozen air ambulances available at any given time, i live near the airport and they're all over the place.

  • not all departments.

  • firefighters are trained first responders . they dont need an ambulance to be able to provide basic life support.

Our FD doesnt run ambulances, thats privately contracted however we have a medic and als gear on our engine and ladder

  • This is how it is in some parts of the country. I agree it is sad, but that is how it is. Good thing nobody was in any immediate, deathly danger. There is a dept by me that protects close to 1000 people and has no ambulance, they have to call for one from the next town (us).

  • The distance to this call is kind of sad. Rural people sure need to wait a long time for help.

  • How fast is it going?
