Among the best of 20's music, with disaster right around the corner. Compare to the 1931(?) gem "Buddy, Can You Spare A Dime?". Heard many stories of this era from my old man and his brothers. Wish I'd been there, sans suffering and impending war. You got to love the naive innocence of this music...bittersweet.
It was actually written for the move "The Broadway Melody." The movie was the first talkie musical. Charles King, a big Broadway Star of the time sang it in the movie.
hello. I would like to find "all" sheet for orchestra with tabs too by Ben Selvin but please no stock arrangements! Where is it possible to find them ? You also can send me msg via sms 00 32 477 409.244 (Belgium) Thanx Claude Bravo pour la vidéo :-)
Top grade tune and presentation. Who could be sole person who actually disliked this . I am hoping it was in error.

This Selvin offering is just fantastic. He had a great sound and one of the best bands of this period.
