  • Excellent.

When checking for high frets with a straight edge does the neck have to be perfectly dead on straight or can I have a little relief in the neck?

    Thanks

  • @loveguitars

always start with the neck as straight as possible and tuned to pitch.

some high frets do not read until you add string tension :(

  • ime not sure if this is happening because its brand new but,i got a les paul, and when i bend the strings it scratches against the neck and it sounds horrible....any help?

  • @callumskater1

    that don't seem right :(

  • Hey can anyone help me out? im getting a buzzing problem but its not coming from the fret, its coming from the bridge. My strings buzz whenever i play them, whether or not my fingers are on the fret board. Like I said its coming from the bridge, and it wont go away. Anyone have any idea whats wrong?

  • @davey4557 Thank you. I greatly appreciate your help. I think I have a high fret around the 13th or 14th fret of a 12 string acoustic only on the B string. I only get buzz when I fret the B String at the 12 and 13 frets then its fine.

Thanks again. You have a Great youtube channel.

  • @davey4557 i have that too,on ibanez rg with floating tremolo, funny thing that it is happening just on 6th string, and btw my guitar is downtunned to B and setup was done too, even though it wasnt well done cus that string always buzzes(11. to 56. strings btw)

  • Thanks very much even knowing my guitar is pooched, this was insightful.
