I agree 100% Cornell is one of the unsung heros of Funk/R&B. Hell, not many people know this, but Cornell and Jimi Hendrix (along with Chuck Rainey) were is King Curtis' band at the same time! There's actually a few tracks with the lineup floating around.

First time ever i've seen Cornell play a Les Paul.
Been a loyal fan of his since his early days with Donny Hathaway and before.
I have every album he ever made.
He slips and slides into notes with ease and makes the guitar talk! (alot like Amos Garrett)
