Cuillins Sunset Seascape: An oil painting time lapse demo

This is a time lapse oil painting demonstration by Scottish landscape artist and lecturer Scott Naismith.
This sunset seascape painting is of the Cuillins on Skye. The first part was filmed while it was being painted infront of an audience at a live demo at Williamwood High School (Glasgow) for Eastwood Art Club. The second and third sittings were filmed in the studio.

Are you using a reference photo when painting or is it on your head? I love your paintings.

@suztexas I do have a photo reference in order to get the exact shape of the mountains. I explain some of this in the full demo film which I hope to have available soon.

While your website is lovely and full of spangles it may or may not be of interest that if you live in the middle of nowhere and therefore with a very slow connection, as I do, it's pretty much impossible to use.
