Countdown: Worst Person's - Oliver North

5/22/2008 - On his nightly MSNBC program "Countdown", host Keith Olbermann awarded Colonel Oliver North of Fox News "Worst Person in the World" for claiming that the detainees at Guantánamo Bay were making up stories about being abused and wrongly alleging the Qur'an getting desecrated. General David Patraeus and Comcast are also awarded.

Keith Olbermann! Today's Worst person in the world. Keith on this very show demonstrates his lack of logic and reason by saying that "Detainees could make up apocryphal terror plots while being interrogated". This is possibly the most asinine comment ever to come out of Keith's mouth because it's not like we let these people go after they confess. Instead we check out their stories completely and guess what happens to those who lied and made up stories? Think about it.

So that is your plan? Illegally torturing a detainee, who may not give reliable information, and take the time to "check out their stories"? As if they have so much time to do this? How about getting some actual reliable sources who know what they're talking about rather than wasting time water boarding a detainee who will say anything to make the torturing stop? Great plan.

No, actually, you need to read your posts before you blindly think of erroneous ideas that nobody with a half-brain would use when getting information from terrorist detainees. 1st, I never stated anything about the detainees going anywhere... That is irrelevant here. 2nd, how can you say "They have all the time in the world"? They don't have time. The interrogators need to get as much RELIABLE information as possible as quick as possible before any other terrorists commit any more attacks.
