Ryan Moats Police Stop WFAA TV Dallas/Fort Worth

A Dallas cop stops Houston Texans NFL football player Ryan Moats for running a red light as he rushed to be by his mother-in-law's bedside in her final minutes at Baylor Medical Center in Plano, TX. By the time the cop was done with his power-play and let Moats go, his mother-in-law was dead. His wife defied the cop's orders, rushed into the hospital and managed to see her mother just moments before she passed.

I went to Louisiana Tech with Ryan moats. I didn't know him personally but I always heard that he is a very good person. This incident was unfortunate. Moats represented himself very well. The cop was a jerk on a power trip.

@moviesforrandy Yep, a regular citizen would have been placed under the jail. Police officers should and need to be held to a higher standard. It seems here this dude had a power trip that went totally wrong and I hope he isn't still working in law enforcement. Maybe a mall cop would be appropriate for him.
