Planet Humboldt - Episode 1

The premiere episode of Planet Humboldt, an independent news magazine by and for the people of Humboldt County. This is a non-commercial, not-for-profit production produced by a collective of local journalists organized by the Humboldt Sentinel.

In addition to local headlines, news packages in this episode look at the new Schatz Energy Research Center, a presentation of the Zero Waste Forum, local commemorations of the 9/11 attacks, a speech by Cindy Sheehan, the Humboldt Pride Parade and the debate over medical marijuana in Eureka. There's also a sneak peak of an appearance by Congressional candidate Norman Solomon.

Planet Humboldt airs every Tuesday at 5 p.m. and Friday at 7 p.m. on Access Humboldt Channel 12, a public access cable television station based in Eureka, CA.
